Back The Blue – Police Around The Country Are Walking Away

In the history of our country, not many jobs have deserved and received the respect and appreciation afforded to our police officers. As keepers of the peace, they voluntarily chose a profession that guarantees them exposure and risk associated with dealing with the criminals in their communities. Far from the glamourous expectations from boys & girls daydreaming of putting on the badge, many are realizing more these days the risk, liability, and low pay these warriors of freedom are experiencing.

According to Britannica policing started early in our countries development.

“Yet Americans, like the English, were wary of creating standing police forces. Among the first public police forces established in colonial North America were the watchmen organized in Boston in 1631 and in New Amsterdam (later New York City) in 1647. Although watchmen were paid a fee in both Boston and New York, most officers in colonial America did not receive a salary but were paid by private citizens, as were their English counterparts.”

As the metropolitan areas exploded in size, so did the increased pressures on police to deal with more domestic issues, organized crime, murders, etc. Compounding the situation were the racial tensions from those in the communities of color who were not ready to have a primarily “white” police force enforcing laws in their communities.

Over time these a majority of all communities have come to respect & depend upon those in blue to keep their neighborhoods safe. Unfortunately, as in all aspects of life, there are always a few “bad apples’ are all professions. In this Internet 24 hour new cycle, SJW movements have elevated the actions of these very few and now coordinate violence, typically before knowing all the facts.

With the recent deaths of and George Floyd and Rayshard Brooks, the primarily rich “white” domestic terrorists, ANTIFA, have used the funding from George Soros’s organizations to cause havoc along with some opportunists from the black & brown communities to loot, rape & kill.  The excessive pressure put on the local police has put a strain on the departments and with the lack of confidence and stand down instructions given by progressive mayors & governors, many in Blue are walking away from the careers they love, in order to avoid physical, emotions and or legal problems for just doing their jobs.

At least 7 Minneapolis police officers quit, citing lack of support from city leaders after protests

“Several Minneapolis Police Department employees are quitting their law enforcement jobs because of the lack of support following the George Floyd protests. At least seven police officers have quit the MPD in the aftermath of protests, that does not include the four former cops who were involved in Floyd’s death and were fired.

Current and former MPD officers told the Minneapolis Star Tribune that cops were frustrated with the way the police department and city leaders failed to support them. One particular event that bothered cops was Mayor Jacob Frey’s (D) decision to abandon the Third Precinct police station. Rioters were able to ransack the police station and set the building on fire. Cops were forced to retreat.

Minneapolis Deputy Chief Henry Halvorson wrote an email earlier this month that stated some police officers have “simply walked off the job without filing the proper paperwork, creating confusion about who is still working and who isn’t.”

Here is additional fall out from the pressure & lack of support local law enforcement agents are experiencing

The majority of Americans support the Blue and we need them to know they are supported.

Only through the involvement of law-abiding citizens, exercising their Constitutional privilege of voting, and electing local, state, and federal officials who support our Officers in Blue can this situation be resolved. Let’s get busy – Vote 2020
